Last updated August 28, 2026
Agreement
By using the Mac-Cel website or downloading and using the Mac-Cel software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the software.
The software
Mac-Cel is provided as a free Office add-in suite for Excel and PowerPoint on Microsoft 365. It is offered for professional use at your own discretion.
Mac-Cel is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation.
No warranty
Mac-Cel is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the software or this site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every environment. You are responsible for validating results before relying on them in production work, client deliverables, or compliance reviews.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mac-Cel and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of the site or software.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or software will not exceed the amount you paid us for the software in the twelve months before the claim. Because Mac-Cel is free, that amount is zero.
Acceptable use
You may use Mac-Cel in compliance with applicable law, your organization's policies, and Microsoft's terms for Office add-ins.
You may not use the site or software to interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the site in ways prohibited by law, or misrepresent your affiliation with Mac-Cel or Microsoft.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Software releases and source code are distributed through GitHub. Microsoft hosts Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms.
Intellectual property
Mac-Cel names, branding, and site content are owned by Mac-Cel or its licensors. Open-source components included in the software are subject to their own licenses, as described in the repository.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact channel listed in the Mac-Cel GitHub repository.
